Bed Show reports success

The fourth annual National Bed Federation (NBF) Bed Show at the Telford International Centre proved successful once more, with an increase in visitor numbers and a positive reaction to the launch of the federation's bar-lifting Code of Practice. 

Over the two days, visitor numbers were recorded at just under the 1400 mark – an increase of over 5% from 2012.

“We’re extremely pleased that visitor numbers increased once again, which goes to prove that the show is timely and relevant,” said Jessica Alexander, executive director of the NBF. “For us it’s about creating an event that keeps costs low for exhibitors but has a unique product focus for the visitors – where else can they get to see such a wide range of large and small companies and most major UK brands?”

The show, which ran from 24-25th September, had little change to its established formula - a two-hall, focused, no-frills event – except for extended opening hours on both days.

Feedback from both exhibitors and visitors alike was positive, with praise for the show’s smooth organisation, and some commenting that it seemed particularly busy this year.

“We were also delighted with the retailers’ positive reaction to the launch of the NBF’s Code of Practice, which has been designed to encourage good practice in the industry and reassure consumers that they can buy ‘NBF Approved’ beds with confidence,” concludes Jessica.
