The Lighting Show to return to Interiors UK

Interiors UK, organised by UBM Live Built Environment, welcomes back the Lighting Show, by popular demand for its 2014 show.

Over 70 cutting-edge lighting brands are set to take over the Lighting Show, including Dar, David Hunt, Illuminati Lighting, Search Light, Interiors 1900 ltd, Clifton Lighting and Illuma, with many new names coming along to the show including Paul Neuhaus.

Running within Interiors UK at the NEC Birmingham from the 19-22 January, the show will mark the return of an industry event devoted entirely to striking lighting from the UK and Europe. This dedicated area in Hall 3 will include several features, paying homage to a well-deserving industry, renowned for its style and passion.

At the heart of the event will be a VIP Lighting Lounge housing The Lighting Show's very own cafe and dedicated seminar theatre, providing the ideal opportunity for networking and business opportunities. This special VIP Lighting Lounge will be accessible to any visitor who is accompanied by an exhibitor and will be integral to the multitude of order taking opportunities available at the show.

The Lighting Show is thrilled to be working closely with the LIA and welcomes Peter Hunt to take centre-stage at the seminar theatre each day to introduce a programme of focused seminars led by industry experts. Peter explains: “The Lighting Show was historically the go-to industry show for both designers and manufacturers of decorative lighting and we are working hard alongside Interiors UK to restore this well-loved event. We are supporting the show every step of the way and I encourage the industry to do the same. It will be both a joy and a delight to once again have an event dedicated to our industry.” As an added bonus all LIA members will benefit from an exclusive offer as exhibitors at the show.

As a testament to the shows relationship with the LIA, the Lighting Show will once again host the annual LIA awards – this time with a twist. For the first time in the awards history, the results will be decided by visitors, both strengthening the customer experience and engagement with exhibitors. Voting is set to launch two weeks prior to the show, with visitors being able to vote via social media using the hashtag #interiorsuk. The awards ceremony will take place on the last day of the show, celebrating innovations within the industry and bringing together visitors and exhibitors for unrivalled networking opportunities.

Not only will there be a host of new names at the show there will be an array of new products launching on site. David Edwards, director at Oaks Lighting said, “We are excited to be exhibiting at Interiors UK. It’s a key show to launch new products and as such, up to three quarters of the products we’ll be exhibiting will be brand new. Exclusive to Interiors UK, every product will be available to buyers on exceptional show-only offers, ideal for visitors wanting to get their hands on the very latest product ranges.”
