Manchester show attracts notable newcomers

The industry’s longest running trade exhibition, the Manchester Furniture Show, continues to sell out every summer, and nest month's edition will be no exception, with over 130 exhibitors signed up – among them many well-known companies and some major UK launches.

The latest bookings include major upholstery brand Wade as well as Furniture Link UK, Stilexo, Exclusive, Shankar, Origin Red, Primary Products and Caxton Furniture. Commenting on his return after a four-year absence, Caxton's David Evans says: “Caxton are delighted and excited to be returning to the Manchester exhibition, and will be showing a number of new bedroom and living/dining ranges.”

Wade Upholstery's sales and marketing director, Chris Everist, adds: “The trade clearly has an appetite for new and exciting models and fabrics, even more so when the prices represent superb value for money and where healthy margins can be achieved. With this in mind, Wade will be showcasing four new models – three contemporary, one traditional – and 30 new fabrics at the Manchester Furniture Show, aimed to excite aesthetically and please financially.”

The appeal of the Manchester Furniture Show for many visitors is the diversity of exhibitors. Big industry names like the Morris Furniture Group, Buoyant, Kingstown, Corndell, Baker Furniture, Kettle, Whitemeadow and La-Z-Boy will rub shoulders with smaller, more niche manufacturers and importers, ensuring there is something new and original for everyone to see.

This year’s show has attracted several high-profile newcomers, helping to continue its development into the mid- to upper-end of the market. Among them is well-known supplier of designer glass furniture, Greenapple.

The show takes place between 14-17th July at Manchester Central. Registration is now open.
