Espritmeuble

After working together to re-establish the trade fair that best suits them, leaders within the French furniture industry are working hard on the third edition of Espritmeuble.

What will be tomorrow’s living environment? How does the furniture profession anticipate consumers’ changing requirements? What tools should the industry use to have the best possible understanding of the developments in lifestyles and still remain competitive? These major questions will be tackled during the third edition of Espritmeuble.

“Business and innovation will be, more than ever, at the heart of this edition,” says Claude Thebaud, Espritmeuble communications director. “We design today what our children will live with tomorrow. And our industry has all the resources needed to do so – new, associated technology can even help us to save years in time! There is no need to be afraid!”

From modern mobility, the consumers’ increasing customisation requirements, the need for ease which reflects the ageing population, as well as fun and ecological aspects – all while promoting design and aesthetics – will be on the agenda.

The edition will also present the FabLab, a manufacturing lab that will be a meeting place for the 3D printing solutions applied in the furniture sector, among others. This experimental corner, where anyone can test this new technology, will demonstrate the possible ways in which it might be applied to jobs in the furniture industry in the future.

BFM Business, a leading French radio station for economic and financial news, is a partner of the show – so during the event, the furniture industry will be at the heart of the business news on the air. Additionally, last month Espritmeuble launched a new blog – accessible through the event website’s homepage – which aims to provide substantive issues, projects and breaking news. It will also be a source of inspiration for members of the profession, providing useful content and ideas and shedding light on trends.

Most importantly, the increasingly dynamic Espritmeuble will feature major French and European brands in bedding, seating and furniture, including Simmons, Treca, Dunlopillo, Bultex, Epeda, Meubles Celio, Ernest Ménard, Duvivier Canapés, Gorini, Aerre Italia and Stressless.

The show will take place at hall 7/level 3, Porte de Versailles, Paris.
