Feria Hábitat Valencia 2014 showcase ready to go

With eight months before it opens its doors, Feria Hábitat Valencia has already put the content of the 2014 showcase in place. The event runs from 11-14th February next year and has already begun to be marketed. The full display of furniture, decor, lighting, home textiles, office furniture and kitchens will be distributed over Level 1 of Feria Valencia’s four pavilions. The change is being made because of the fair running at the same time as the other leading architecture and interiors fairs, Cevisama and Fimma-Maderalia. The 2014 show will be a very special one for Feria Hábitat Valencia as it will be celebrating its 50th anniversary.

Kitchens and lighting are being added to the content of the upcoming Feria Hábitat Valencia as a major new feature, each with their own dedicated area. Lighting has so far been represented at Feria Hábitat Valencia as part of different sectors and styles but will have a space of its own at the 2014 show. Likewise, kitchens are poised to come back to Valencia as a powerful force with a dedicated area showcasing the complete offering.

Another significant feature of the upcoming edition of Feria Hábitat Valencia is that there will be a substantial programme of complementary activities, workshops, exhibits and lectures going on in parallel with the four fairs that will make visiting a far more attractive proposition for Spanish and international professionals. This is all in addition to the comprehensive product offering the fairs will be providing and that will comprise an international show for architecture, interior design and decor such as has never been seen before in Spain and that is already creating a buzz of excitement amongst the communities of professionals involved.

Feria Hábitat Valencia is joining this international gathering as a fair that is open to the latest trends and business models and affords a broad vision of the various sectors related to interiors. The fair is to be located on Level 1 at Feria Valencia and segmented into six major areas – home textiles, haute decor, design, contemporary, lighting and kitchens.

Pavillion 1 will host the foremost home textiles manufacturers, in synergy with the leading, most exclusive brands of classic furniture and decor, which will be in the haute decor zone. This set-up will generate international business as well as attracting the interest of the contract sector, amongst others.

Pavilion 2, for its part, will be home to the most contemporary and up-to-the-minute interiors in a functional space where kitchens will have their own dedicated area. This is the only trade fair in Spain to have such a significant kitchen section. Lighting is being staged alongside the kitchen section in a format that will facilitate engagement and stimulate business. This area will also accommodate a selection of contemporary furniture manufacturers in a kind of anteroom to the great contemporary interiors section in pavilion 4.

Design will be on show in pavilion 3. The top brands of ‘made in Spain’ design are showcased at Feria Hábitat Valencia at the only fair in the country that is able to bring together the brands that set the trends. These manufacturers will be sharing space with ‘Flash’, the innovative exhibition format that showcases international companies that are at the cutting edge of design.

Furniture, accessories and the very latest in decor will all be able to be found in the Contemporary section in pavilion 4, the main meeting point and business platform for these sectors. Bedrooms, living rooms and furniture and accessories for adolescents’ and children’s rooms will together form a comprehensive offering for a market that is constantly on the move in terms of new products and designs.

As well as this comprehensive review of all that the various sectors and styles of interiors currently have to offer, Feria Hábitat Valencia will once again be hosting the nude Show, the great showcase of innovation and design.  This year the exhibits are being located in a very special place: the Central Atrium.

Nude has already published the terms and conditions for submitting entries for this year’s show, which is open to young designers both Spanish and international, schools of design, and design and manufacturing companies that have been in business for less than five years.

According to Feria Hábitat Valencia’s director, Máximo Solaz: “From what we are hearing from the various business sectors we are in touch with on an ongoing basis, the expectations for this next fair are modestly optimistic. With Feria Hábitat Valencia running alongside Cevisama and Fimma–Maderalia there are some very powerful synergies bring generated that make everyone a winner, both visitors because of the breadth of the offering and exhibitors, who are seeing the status and profile of prospective customers improve even further, especially those from the international marketplace.”
