Vancouver trade mark dispute settled

After a long legal battle in two major trade mark disputes, ACID member Mosley Trading Company Ltd (Besp-Oak Furniture) has settled against Argos and Magical Investments, the settlement with Magical Investments coming from a mediation between the parties. While the conditions of both settlements remain confidential, this has ensured that Besp-Oak’s trade marks have been reserved for the company’s sole use for the future.

Niall Head Rapson, an IP specialist lawyer and Partner at ACID-accredited law firm McDaniel & Co, says: “The trade mark in question is Vancouver, the company’s long-standing best seller. This is described as a lifetime investment and will be considered as a lifetime investment. This accolade provided Besp-Oak with a compelling reason, to do everything in their power to preserve the trade mark for their own sole and continued use.”
