The Shire Bed Company sponsors Yorkshire cricket club

The Shire Bed Company, based in Dewsbury, will be a major sponsor of Yorkshire County Cricket Club until the end of the 2018 season. This follows an initial one-year sponsorship package which Shire signed up to in 2015. As an official partner the deal gives the company a degree of access to such high profile cricketers as Johnny Bairstow, Adam Lyth and Tim Bresnan.

Fara Butt, marketing director at The Shire Bed Company, says: “As keen supporters of the local community we are very proud to be a partner of Yorkshire County Cricket Club. Our passion for Yorkshire and the county’s cricket team makes this an excellent match for us.

“Cricket’s a game that can be enjoyed by everyone and all the family are enthusiastic cricket fans. We are really looking forward to the season ahead and cheering on the team.”

Yorkshire County Cricket Club’s history, tradition and passion is renowned throughout the world. No other county in the history of the game has won more trophies and produced more players for England.

Yorkshire County Cricket Club’s commercial director, Andy Dawson, says: “We are delighted to announce that The Shire Bed Company has agreed to become an official partner of the club. The Shire Bed Company is an established, reputable Yorkshire brand that shares the same values as ourselves. We are very proud that they will be joining our elite band of existing commercial partners.”

Established in 1997, The Shire Bed Company is a family-run business with roots based in Dewsbury, Yorkshire, where it produces high quality beds, mattresses and divan bases. The Shire Bed Company supplies nationally and internationally to major retailers and the contract sector including education, care and hospitality.
